Mister Tennessee.🍋🥃
I’m a big Whiskey sour fan. This one is a variant that i tried the first time in El Portal. El Portal is one of my favourite bars/restaurants in Alicante(Spain).
So i asked them for the recipe and i started experimenting.
First the ingredients. A good Bourbon, in this case Bulleit. Lemon, ginger some liquid cane sugar and a fever tree ginger ale.
And the secret ingredient that defines the taste is some vanilla syrup.
So i start by taking off some lemon zests before i squeeze my lemon.
And i also cut some ginger.
Then everything is exactly the same as a Whiskey sour.
Start with 4cl of lemon juice.
Then 6cl of Bulleit Bourbon.
And 2cl of cane sugar syrup.
Put that all together in my shaker and add a few drops of vanilla syrup.
Put some ice in the shaker and shake well but short.
Pour over ice in a large cocktail glass.
Then fever tree ginger ale, half a bottle more or less...
Then i add my lemon zest with ginger for decoration.
And that’s a Mister Tennessee. Recipe by “El Portal” Alicante.
