TAVI Who, What, When, Where, How

So who am I , what is it, when was it conceived, where was it conceived and how did it get where it is now? It's a bit of a story, but it's all true and it relates to everyone.

Who am I? My name is not important, but TAVI is The Academy of Vivid Imagination.

What is it? It's an understanding in it's simplest terms. It's a dreamer mindset. Everybody is a dreamer at a level of understanding determined by their life's conditioning. I'll explain a little further about that later or possibly in another post.

When was it conceived? A couple of years ago on New Years Day, my wife and I were treated to free tickets to a Broadway production (not in New York city, mind you), and while we were waiting for the show to start, one of the advertisements talked about Vivid Imagination. Being the dreamer I am, my brain started racing. I have always been an entrepreneur at heart and have always tried to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Some influential associates had always said, "Find out what you love to do and learn how to turn it into a business." That's how the wheels started turning.

Where was it conceived? In a theater, but I mentioned that above.

How did it get to where it is now? And that really is the start of our story!

So as I see the advertisement in the theater waiting for the show to start, I write down TAVI, The Academy of Vivid Imagination and I show my wife. She asks, "What's that and what does that mean?" I start writing down notes and as I am doing that, the house lights go down and the show starts. You all are saying to yourselves, "What play was it that you went to see?" It was Evita, which by the way was an awesome show! Anyway, we get out of the show and get home and I get on the computer and start translating and making notes on my computer, developing this idea.

Now a little about me will help bring this together. My memory for events goes back to when I was very young, 1 year old. I don't know how that works, but I know I'm not the only one on planet earth that is that way. On the other hand, my wife's memory does not go back that far. As a matter of fact, I remember things that happened to my wife as a little girl that she didn't even remember. One more tidbit, we have known each other since we were 8 yrs old and have been married since 1985. So I have always been a daydreamer. I didn't do well in school, however, I remember quite a few things that I learned. Some call it delayed intelligence and I suffer greatly from it! I always wanted to be doing something different than be in school. It seems I had always been distracted by whatever was outside. Teachers weren't sure what to do with me as I wasn't special needs or developmentally disabled or whatever politically correct term you want to call it. So essentially, that is how TAVI came about to fruition.

We are all dreamers to a certain extent or another. Some of us are what I call Surface Level Dreamers and others like myself, I would call Deep Level Dreamers. Deep Level Dreamers get lost and call it an adventure or detour. We look for rabbit holes and when the opportunity presents itself, we take it and sometimes there is just no bringing us back. Although we find our way out, we sometimes need the guidance of the Surface Level Dreamers to bring us back. On the flip side, we, Deep level Dreamers can be tour guides for the Surface Level Dreamers and help them to see things they otherwise would not be exposed to.

So this brings us to today and this crazy journey we are all on. TAVI is here for you! Please indulge me from the standpoint that you will learn things here, that you might find somewhere else, but not in the context you will find as entertaining as right here! We are going to talk about dreams. Dreams are crazy cool things that are not limited in any scope, as well they shouldn't be. Think about this; if dreams were limited, how would they grow? Besides, limited dreams are called wishes. Here is a quote that I came up with while my wife and I were going through Ministry and Leadership University. "Dreams are unrealized, reality." I know, PRETTY DEEP ISN'T IT?!? But really, think about it. Dreams are reality that are developed in our minds and just not part of our reality as our mind speaks to us. Dreams are not a static thing like a wish. Have you ever noticed that dreams grow? They can also shrink, but my experience has always been they never stay small or disappear. It may even take a while for a dream to come to fruition and when it does, it is always bigger than when it first came to your mind or heart.

The reason I bring up the heart is because that is where your passion comes from that ignites the excitement for the dream. Hopefully this has sparked an interest in you. I will continue to bring content to you from many different areas and will hopefully bring you back to read what is next in this journey.

In closing, you will not hear me mention Pipe Dreams because if it's truly a dream, there is no need to blow smoke up your backside!
