Dreams Never Become Goals.......
Too many of us view dreams as goals that we plan out and then take action on. That is not the way it works. The truth is, dreams, intentions, wishes, aspirations, and desires do not become actions until we actually take action to fulfill them.
The fact is, many of us, when we are stuck in a rut of unemployment or are without a full-time job, have no intention of taking action. For example, you might wake up one morning and realize that you are tired of your current situation and would like to travel to a foreign country. You see this as an opportunity to make a life change. But, you are currently unemployed and cannot afford to leave your current situation.
So, how does one go about dreaming of traveling to a foreign country? By jotting down the same intention for traveling as you would for leaving your current job - the same dream. On the surface, it is the same but in actuality, there is a big difference. Now that you have the same intention to leave your job, it is time to begin creating your plans.
While writing your goal for traveling, you will also be creating a plan for saving money and finding a place to stay while traveling. You need to make sure that you have a budget in place, otherwise you are going to end up with less money than you started with. This happens most often to those who have too many ambitions but not enough money to support their dreams. However, if you have planned your trip correctly, and you have some extra money saved, you can take off and do whatever you want.
Without a goal, you are simply putting your dreams in a box. I've already talked about how important it is to create a plan before you even think about taking action. The first step is to write your intention down. Then, put a box around the idea and write your plan for taking action on it. It is better to have a plan and detailed action steps in place before you start to take action than to spend months trying to find the path toward your goal when you could have had a clear path the moment you wrote down your intention.
When you get your dream out into the world, remember that dreams don't always become goals. Just because you are dreaming doesn't mean that it becomes a reality. Many times, people who have dreams that they want to achieve fall into the trap of believing that they have to dream for it to happen. They continue to dream in hopes that the dream will become a reality. Unfortunately, dreams only become goals when they become action steps. Once you have a plan and take action on it, your dreams become realities.
As you are dreaming, you might be "inspired" to write down your dream. What if you were inspired to create a life change by reading something written down in a dream journal? In some cases, dreams turn into actions. What if you were inspired to create a plan for your dream by reading your dream journal? A dream journal is a form of inspiration that gives you access to your "inner eye".
If you do not believe that dreams become goals, you can look to your higher power for answers. You might want to ask the ones who made your dreams come true, because you are having a similar type of journey. Most people believe that the universe answers prayers, and it is possible that your dreams have come true in some way.
