Los cambios climáticos parecen mostrarse más rebeldes que nunca con el pasar de los años, y es que la naturaleza, desde hace mucho tiempo, está mostrando sus garras, cual lobo herido, para decirnos: "Paren. Dejen de abusar, pues luego lo han de lamentar".

Huracanes, ciclones, terremotos, tsunamis, diluvios, calores insostenibles... todo ha estado presente a nivel mundial, y los humanos solo nos quejamos y lloramos ante las desgracias. Pero no paramos de crear enemistades con el planeta Tierra.

Siempre me pregunto: ¿Qué sentido tiene la realización de eventos para discutir sobre el calentamiento global, como el que ha de realizarse del 9 al 20 de noviembre, en su edición 31, si cada día "avivamos" más la llama encendida en la tierra?

Desde mi punto de vista, en estos eventos promovidos por la ONU se actúa como un matrimonio por conveniencia: Se firman acuerdos, se levantan las copas para celebrar y luego cada quien anda por su lado, haciendo lo que más le conviene. Eso sí, con un compromiso: Volver el próximo año a "evaluar los acuerdos", jeje.

Vivo en una zona costera. Mi nombre es Sol, tengo 53 años y estoy en la etapa de menopausia. Es decir, el calor que siento en mi cuerpo y el calor del sol hace que me transforme en una "olla de presión" y, para colmo, en mi pueblo hay racionamiento eléctrico, que va de 5 a 6 horas diarias.

El agotamiento me pasa factura, casi no puedo escribir y leo para no perder la costumbre. Cuando llega la luz solo me provoca bañarme y descansar un rato.

Trato de mantener la calma, porque la ansiedad no es buena para nadie.

Por allí vi que en Europa la temperatura llega a 40º grados, y me imagino que lo que ustedes están pasando es similar a estar en una hoguera. Un abrazo caluroso.

Climate change seems to be more defiant than ever as the years go by, and nature, for a long time now, has been showing its claws, like a wounded wolf, to tell us: "Stop. Stop abusing it, because you will regret it later."

Hurricanes, cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, unbearable heat... all of this has been present worldwide, and we humans only complain and cry in the face of these misfortunes. But we don't stop creating enmity with planet Earth.

I always wonder: What's the point of holding events to discuss global warming, like the one scheduled for November 9-20, its 31st edition, if every day we're fanning the flames already burning on Earth?

From my point of view, these UN-sponsored events are like a marriage of convenience: Agreements are signed, glasses are raised in celebration, and then everyone goes their separate ways, doing what's best for them. Of course, with one commitment: to return next year to "evaluate the agreements," haha.

I live in a coastal area. My name is Sol, I'm 53 years old, and I'm going through menopause. In other words, the heat I feel in my body and the heat of the sun make me feel like a pressure cooker, and to top it all off, my town has electricity rationing, which lasts from 5 to 6 hours a day.

Exhaustion is taking its toll; I can barely write, and I read to keep the habit alive. When the light returns, all I want to do is take a bath and rest for a while.

I'm trying to stay calm because anxiety isn't good for anyone.

I saw somewhere that temperatures in Europe are reaching 40 degrees Celsius, and I imagine what you're going through is similar to being in a bonfire. Warmest regards.

Ah yes, we had a few days where it reached 41°C, and we don’t know what’s still to come. There wasn’t much opportunity for activity during that time – just a few hours in the morning and another chance in the evening to sort out urgent matters. During the day, we were too busy sweating and panting ;-)) Not to mention the fact that these figures are always measured in the shade. In the sun, it can easily heat up to 60°...

I’d love to tell you that the menopause is well and truly behind you – but it’s a long haul...!
