Drawing Challenge #12: Second Heaven

Anyways, this is my drawing for the drawing challenge by @helene.

This is basically my art for this contest:

This is actually a fanart of a song called Second Heaven which is composed by Ryutaro Nakahara, also known as Ryu☆. For this art, this overall theme is based on the official music video for this song, with some minor twists.

This is the official image for the music's REFLEC BEAT jacket, which is a cover art for that arcade rhythm game. Yes, this song is made for the arcades.

So the twist on this art is, rather than the old man shown seating on the chair in the official artwork, I changed it into somewhat the face of the composer himself, plus that silence bubble, for this bizarre situation he's in.

And that random triple ice-cream cone is in fact due to a mistranslation for the word "Somebody Scream!" which can be heard in the official music. The Japanese mistranslation is "3倍アイスクリーム " which litterally means "3 scoops of ice-cream", thus that phrase became an inside joke for this song.

And yes, I stayed for the Techno-bards event for Day 2 of Comic Fiesta 2017, just for kors k and Ryu☆, since their music are some my favourites during my late teens....

I hope this is allowed for the theme of the contest, I dunno is a fanart can be qualified for this contest or not. If not, then it's okay.
