Figure Collage

For last terms final in our figure drawing class the assignment was to create a scene with multiple figures out of torn up discarded drawings from the rest of the term.

The whole term I had taken a classical approach to my renderings of the human figure.

This assignment gave me the opportunity to let loose and lose myself in the abstraction and exaggeration of the human form.

In the end it was a freeing experience. I usually avoid the classical approach but for some reason I couldn't break free form it in figure drawing class until this assignment.

I have an entire portfolio filled with this last terms figure drawings. Who knows, maybe i'll post a few :)
