Spider Coccoon
There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D
I think you´re right. There´s something delicate and kind of mystical loosing at the end. I like the thin lines of the original inking more. The black background it also makes it too heavy (graphically speaking). Maybe just some old paper texture over the original drawing would add to the mystical feeling, but that´s just a suggestion. It´s a very good drawing!

I really like the line work. If you are playing with it digitally anyway, you should try a sepia colour wash in the background. Of course the fun of digital is you can try every which way and colour.

The digital painting has almost magical feel - it's like she will speak to me any time, hehe.^^ The techniques in digital art provide almost endless possibilities. If you change even one option, the result can be completely different. ;) I love this freedom in CG.
The traditional sketch has another magic - the feeling of paper between the fingers, the pressure of pencils and the behavior of the ink. The thought that a mistake can ruin the work or make it even more exceptional. ;)
The best thing is that we an choose any of these techniques, even combine them however we like. ;)
