Mascara
Slowly leveling up my art game in an extremely subtle way.
I finally made my fox tales announcement post, sorry and you’re welcome! 😅 It was a huge relief. Being behind on a contest post really stresses me out so I took a snack break and pondered over the next few hours of my night. I thought I was going to play a few rounds of Magic with the guys but I ended up drawing.
The studies have been paying off because I already see a slight improvement in my technique. I’m using less lines, not as many layers and I’m still able to get the same soft feel in my drawings.
I’m still using the same program on my iPad which is Procreate. I should go through and watch tutorials because I still only know the basics. I’m sure my process would become must faster once I take myself through the learning process.
My current obsession is with the organic hemp tool. I’m able to sketch loosely with it and then I’ll build up the shading with the round brush tool.
Afterwards I can bring out the details in the eyes with the 6B pencil tool. Another thing that’s changed is that I’m being careful with where I lay down my colors and my touch has gotten even lighter. I’ll have to do another livestream to share a visual of how I draw.

Interesting synergies! I wanted to make a natural, healthy mascara my own. Interested in that?
Have a great day!
I actually don’t wear mascara but a natural and healthy product sounds very appealing!
I'm still looking for a pressing technique for charcoal, then let's rock!
Lovely
Aww, thanks! 😊
You are doing great, foxxie! Keep practicing and drawing!

Yay!!! Thanks @scrawly!!
As they say, the work is first! I like that you dedicate your projects, I feel the commitment to bring us something new, delight us with works of art and this is one that is in process, for now looks great :D hope to see you when ready
Congrats on your milestone!💓
Ah, thank you! We were probably the only ones that noticed. ^^ I guess it makes it more special that way.
So soft, it's like the depiction of a whisper.
The trail of mascara tells quite a story.
Don't you love how digital art allows us to have so many layers. For me when I draw and wateroclour I'll have endless layers, but then when I do oil I keep finding myself on one layer the entire time (except the sketch on a separate layer) and I think it's just the habit of real life oil painting all these years.
I was using procreate for first time and wondering how to color select and looking for "fill bucket" type tool lol
Found em both but I struggle learning new programs.
Thanks for the info I will be going back to reread some of your posts featuring procreate to pick any tips up :)
