Eye drawing on black paper

So today, I will just share my new eye drawing drawn on a black paper using white charcoal.This is my first time using this technique, where you will be drawing the highlights instead of the shadows. It sure is a new experience to me and it's a great challenge. So, here it is:
I tried to recreate my other eye drawing and this was the result, it's not as good as the other one but this is the best that I could do for now. I will keep practicing more so I could draw a bit better and share it to you guys next time.
So here are the steps for this drawing;
Materials Used:
Black paper (A4 size)
White Charcoal
Eraser
Cotton Swab
Step 1: Outline
I first drew the outline to determine the shape and placement of the eye
Step 2: Adding texture
In this step, I drew the highlighted texture of the upper lid by scribbling lines using the white charcoal and then blending them using a cotton swab to smooth the skin texture.

Step 3: The eyeball
Here, I filled the eyeball with white charcoal because an eyeball is white in color😲
Step 4: Highlights
The eye is just not complete without a highlight, it's what gives life to the drawing of an eye because it kinda reflects the soul of the person.
Step 5: The Iris
Now, the drawing is looking alive. I drew a bunch of lines to create the details for the iris and added some highlights below. I left the center of the iris to be completely black because it is what it is😀.
Step 6: Lower Eyelid
Here, I drew the eye's lower eye lid by scribbling some small lines and blending it with a cotton swab. It is really hard to control the charcoal using a cotton swab, I just can't get the right feel for the skin texture.
Final Result
So, Here is my final drawing everyone. I am hoping that you at least like it a little. I did my very best in drawing this eye and this is my best for now. I will keep on practicing to better myself and share to you guys my improvement. I will keep posting from now on and I hope for your visit again in the next post.
