The Giant Panda or simply Panda🐼

_{This creature is just the cutest, dont you think?! Even though they are humongous in size they are still very cute.😄 The way they behave like they don't have a care for the world and doing stuff like lazing around and chewing bamboo, is just so ADORABLE and FUN to watch. So I drew a portrait of them here. I hope you like it😁}

I hope my drawing was able to capture at least a little bit of its cuteness 😁

So here are the steps in how I draw this amazing creature.

The Process

1st step - Outlines

In every drawing, we must draw our guidelines to help us in shaping the main figure of our subject which in this case, our cute panda. I sketch it very lightly using a mechanical pencil with an HB lead so it would be easy to erase. I took a long time here just trying to get the right proportions for its head. I used a ruler to get precise measurements and the eyes are apart by four eye width of the panda .

2nd step: Detailing the eyes and nose

Nexxt, I started to put details to the eyes of the panda. I first draw the highlights that reflected the light and shaded the surrounding using a 6B pencil because I have to achieve a very dark color for the iris and shaded the skin around its eyes with a color that is slightly brighter than the color of the iris to indicate the difference of the skin tone from the eye.

And then, I shaded the nose using a 4B pencil and left a part white for the highlights to create an optical illusion of depth of the nose. I added details on its mouth and draw small teeth that are slightly apart from each other.

3rd step - Adding the fur

Now, this is the most exciting part and yet the hardest :). It is exciting because this is where your drawing will come to life, and it will feel more like an animal because of the fur. It is the hardest for me because I`m still new in drawing the fur, I watch a bunch of tutorial how to make it but it is still very hard for me.
So here, I first used my mechanical pencil with HB lead to create the first layer of fur. Then blended them using my only my fingers because I am out of q-tips, after the blending I erase some of the graphite using my eraser to create a layer of white fur. I darken the fur around its eyes because that is just how panda are design to be.

4th step - Final details

Now, I trimmed the excess fur using an eraser, added some fine details and covered the whole ears with black fur as it is their signature design.

Done!!!
