我的手绘速写：伊斯坦布尔的加拉达塔楼

当您站在金角湾的南岸，看着博斯普鲁斯海峡的入口时，您不能不注意到站在北面的巨大塔楼。这是67米高的加拉达塔楼(Galata Tower)，建于1345年。这个名字来自塔所在的社区（Galata /Karaköy区）。

此塔楼是为了取代被第四次十字军东征摧毁的旧塔而建造的。旧塔与这座塔都是海链的北部护卫站，海链是一条横跨博斯普鲁斯海峡的巨型铁链，用于在发生袭击时封锁海峡以拒敌舰。这条链的部分剩余现存于伊斯坦布尔考古博物馆。

My Sketch: Galata Tower, Istanbul

When you are on the south shore of the Golden Horn looking across the inlet of the Bosphorus, you can not fail to notice the massive tower standing on the northern side. This is the Galata Tower, 67m tall, built in 1345. The name came from the neighborhood ( the Galata/Karaköy quarter) where the tower is located.

The tower was built to replace an older tower which was destroyed by the Fourth Crusade. The tower was the northern guard station of the sea-chain, which was a literal massive iron chain stretched across the Bosphorus to blockade enemy ships in case of an attack. The remnant of this chain is now in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum.
