Learn to draw with friends - Process Post
Learning to draw has always been something i've wanted to do and never really took the time to do it...
Then i cam across the Learn to draw with friends challenge. This caught my eye and I thought hey i'll give it a go. Now i dont own any colour pencils unfortunately, so I have had to submit the line drawing of Mario in pencil which is a shame as I'd love to had a go at colouring with pencils.
It all starts with an empty canvas... (or paper in this case hahah)
So, I started with the head.
Next step was the hands and arms and top of the body. I always struggle with hands even though Marios are in a closed fist i still struggled. (Lots of rubbing out)
Almost there now but again feet/shoes are another one i struggle with so took numerous attempts to get this shoe right hahah
And here it is the finished pencil drawn Mario :)
Now as i didnt have any colour pencils I did have some felt pens laying about. I decided to colour a little bit of what i could just for fun. This is what i ended with (didn't have a big choice of colours hahah)
I have a plan to learn how to draw:
Draw!
So simple but yet true!!

I'm really glad that you decided to enter the contest and you have done a fine job of the beginner image of Super Mario and given us an excellent process post! .I am so glad you want to learn to draw as well. I'm sure you will learn a lot from some of our other contestants and their process posts. Drawing is just a skill that needs practicing in order to improve so I hope you will continue to join the contest each week and I look forward to seeing the improvements you make as you go. :)
