Character Design #18: Astroneer
Drawn this afternoon straight to ink.
I thought I'd mix things up this week and switch genres to sci-fi. The designs this week will have nothing to do with "Fading", my upcoming graphic novel, but they could show up in future projects. I've wanted to dabble in SF recently, but a story hasn't come to me yet; just vague feelings.
So here's Astroneer #53 with a strange instrument. What is that thing? What does it do?
It's a boombox from the future, maybe.
Hmm, perhaps a sound recorder necessary to communicate with the impossibly low vocal frequencies of a certain alien species.
Yes! Like an electronic super ear.
