Drawing An Eye

Hey guys! Welcome to my very first post here on Steemit. I hope you don't mind my grammar and enjoy my drawing! :)

I have been seeing a lot of beautiful things and it's a blessing for me. To open my eyes and see such wonderful stuff like the blooming of the flowers in our garden to seeing my parents smile everyday. I am grateful to have my eyes healthy and continues to guide me in my future experiences.

So here goes my process in drawing an eye.

First, i made a 1cm x 1cm gridlines on my sketchbook to accurately draw the eye.

Then, i traced the reference using the hb pencil.

Next is the application of charcoal powder using a brush. It took an hour before i finished applying the powder.

Using a white signo pen, i added some details on the reflective part of the eye or those watery portion.

After that, i proceeded to the sclera or the vein looking on the inside of the eye, the upper and lower eyelids, and the eyelashes.

Lastly, i added some volume to the drawing by applying another charcoal powder to darken and blend my drawing.

It was fun and exciting. Although it took me 5 hours 30 minutes to finish, i learned a lot in my experience. It feels great knowing that i did something productive instead of just laying around my bed (hahaha).
