Ringtail Cat from Arizona
A friend of mine posted a picture of a ringtail cat somewhere the other day and I decided to try to draw it. I lived in Tucson, Arizona for two years about 15 years ago and I LOVED exploring all the flora and fauna of a place so different from my native Ohio, but I never saw one of these. I wanted to put the photo side by side with the drawing, but didn't know how to do it, so I'll have to work on that for next time.

Pencil marks were no problem, they're too faint to survive the conversion to 1bit color.
It was fun! I didn't do a perfect job though.

It's a POSSUM! Ringtail possums are super cute but NOISY at night. We had lots of them around hen I lived in southern Australia. Cute drawing.
Thank you! I will have to look into this...Like I said, I'd never heard of these guys...could they be the same in Arizona and Australia? Just checked very quickly...looks like a ringtail "cat" from Arizona is not a cat, but a type of raccoon. Doesn't look like it's the same as in Australia, but similar! And I had never heard of ringtail possums either! Possums are the only marsupial we do have in the US though!
