Severus Snape digital art (Step by step process inside)

From time to time I have more inspiration to one particular artistic instrument then to all others. When I joined steemit two months ago it was watercolor, then copic markers, now I do everyday digital sketches. If fact switching materials is a nice oppotrtunity, you don't stuck in one technique and don't get tired - there's something new to try all the time and skills blend it your head:)

Yesterday night sketching - Harry Potter fan art, portrait study. As usual here I'll show step by step process, it's so easy to make when art is digital, you just save your canvas time to time. While watercolor, for example, doesn't give me much time to take photoes, especially when using "on wet" technique.

As usual I start with a rough sketch, buildind face proportions. 

Filling the shape so I can block transparent pixels. You can see I've added a skin pallets in the top left corner. I do it cause I'm not that sure in human faces midtones as I am in orks muzzles:)

Adding light and shading

When adding more and more and specifying details comes the minute when I already can switch off the sketch layer

Final result. I could continue but it was already 5 a.m. and I was already tired:)
