Peace from Within - pen/pencil portrait
A calm, peaceful portrait of a young woman. I used pencil first for the outline, shading and then used pen to get the darkest tones in the piece.
She seems to be holding on to something: her memories of someone she misses or holding on to her emotions?
The piece has an overall calm and soothing atmosphere. I like the effect of the freckles with pen and highlights in the hair.
