Printing my drawings /

I've been drawing digitally to upload to Redbubble.com for printing.
It's been a lot of learning new things mostly and I haven't gotten ready for it yet.
Today, I asked my boss to print out some of my latest drawings on paper so that I could see if I needed to adjust the drawing settings, mostly to look into if I need to draw with higher resolution, bigger line art brushs or simply drawing bigger.
Well, actually I should have done this earlier because I had a feeling that I do need to adjust.
They are printed on regular printing paper (216mm x 279mm) and one of them is printed on slightly larger shiny paper.
And I was right. I do need to draw bigger especially the flower patterns with a bigger brush and of course the bigger resolution is better.
I need to re-draw them 😭😭😭

Oh well, it’s been only just over a month since I started drawing digitally.
It’s been great practicing so it’s all good. I shall try again ;)

Are the images that you printed blurry? They look pretty good from the photo you showed ^^.

I rarely print my arts too, so I am not much help here but I've read that printing materials need to be at least 300 to 600 in resolution.

They do look good on the photo isn’t it? The images are not blurry but the lines are too fine to see especially on the smaller prints.
300? 600? Maybe that’s DPI...I was told that I need at least 300 DPI but I don’t know what DPI I have.
These are around 4000 x 3000... I think that is the resolution.
If I want to print on bigger material this needs to be higher.

Hmm are you working mostly on iPad with Procreate? I don't use Procreate but most art programs have both the width x height and the resolution, which is specified in dots per inch (dpi).

I think 4000 x 3000 is good width and height, but you might want to check with people who often print their artwork. And definitely, experiment more with it :).

I’m using MediBang...I can’t figure out Procreate ;(
Yeah, I’d have to experiment more for sure.
Thanks for your help!

Nice painting my friend...
Awesome art.. i like your drawing skills...

Thank you!

Wow! really? Learning mistakes, right? Sure you will have more fun!
but in the picture they do not look bad!
It must be in person.
the biggest brushes? as well?
In what resolution are you doing

I know! They don’t look too bad on the picture but I almost want to zoom it with my finger ! Hahaha
Resolutions is around 4000 x 3000 and I use the brush size 5px on MediBang...

Hehehehe is a crazy sensation.
Since I'm doing digital drawings something crazy happens to me because when I draw traditionally I want to zoom or rotate the image and cut and then I laugh a lot, heheh.
If I spend a few years drawing like this, I will not know what the paper and the colors are. Hehehhehe

Well, the resolution must be known very well to have a job to print.
I hardly do the sketches directly in PS I usually scan it and then I pass it to PS, when I scan it I do it in 600 PPP in PNG and when the drawing is finished it is 5045x3200 pixels, well it depends on the drawing, but they are very big and they weigh much
When I make the sketch in PS I have seen videos that say they do it in A3 format of 300 pixels.
I saw in some videos that the size of the lineart brush is 8px.
But I have to ask someone who knows this well hehehe.
I become an eight with so many measures.

Practice makes perfect. :-)
