Saci Pererê

This is a drawing of a brazilian folklore character, the Saci. He seems to be originated from native brazilian culture, but has received african aspects over time. As I recall, Monteiro Lobato "o saci" was one of the first books I read : )

The Saci has only one leg. He wears a red cap and carries a smoking pipe. He can cast magic spells, which he uses to make people angry, and he breaks the silence of the night with loud terrifying wistles. A strange creature, I have to say : )
