One Pillar Pagoda in Vietnam

in #drawing7 years ago

The One Pillar Pagoda is a historic Buddhist temple in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It is regarded alongside the Perfume Temple, as one of Vietnam's two most iconic temples.

The pagoda has a square structure made of wood, has four roofs, four curved roofs are covered with dragon head. The way upped the pagoda is a small staircase made of bricks. The upper part of the pillar consists of a system of wooden slats that form a solid frame supporting the pagoda above, like a lotus flower rising straight from the lake - a beautiful flower, symbolizing the essence of beauty, luxurious - located in the middle of the lake. Not only that, it is also the symbol of wisdom, of permanence, of liberation through intellectual insight into the nirvana. This is the unique architecture of the One Pillar Pagoda.
On 10 of november in 2012, at the Faridabad (India), the Asian Records Foundation confirmed the One Pillar Pagoda as "Asia's most unique temple".

Over thousands of years with many ups and downs of history, One Pillar Pagoda still retains the spirit of Thang Long old. A very small but fragile temple with great cultural values and history, which remains in harmony with the nation, is still in the spirit of the nation, symbolic of the capital, firmly in the line endless time.
