Our hero tosses a pebble behind the nearest building. It distracts the barge who was guarding the entrance. The monster goes to investigate the sound long enough for our hero to slip inside, undetected. What awaits him inside? What might he have gotten himself into?

The physique of the barge who is guarding of the entrance is worth noticing, our Hero isn't afraid of him, I don't think any creature in this whole story was as muscular and tall as him, he really looks like a monster, Wating for tomorrow to know
But he looks stupid as well..

The pebble distraction tactic, stick man must be a fan of Far Cry. Maybe once our hero is inside he can find some sort of weapon. It might help for when he decides to leave...
Don't worry my hero, have faith in yourself, you will find delicious food in there.
I always knew our hero is smart and creative. If it’s too dark inside, it means everyone is sleeping. He can use flashlight on his phone. He will search the building.
Looking at the size of that watch guy.. I'd say nothing good
