My penitence drawing

This is my first charcoal drawing last April 2015.

Note: I uploaded the pictures in my facebook account and I don't have any backup. That's why the pictures are pixelated.

I was crestfallen for that summer since there was some event in our barangay for sports and it was volleyball. To make my story short our team captain was remorseless at me in front of many people at that time even though I did nothing while playing and some people who’s in our side were cheering for me too; but I was sure my team captain was mad when I just missed 2 balls in the entire game.

So I went home after that while feeling ashamed for myself but when I got home my family were so happy to know that I am playing volleyball since my mom used to be a volleyball player when she was a teenager until she was pregnant for my younger sister (the 3rd one for my siblings) and especially my nana (grandmother), so I smile and told them that it was fun and we won though it was the opposite of fun and we literally won the game.

While crying I draw this one to relieve some of my sadness. ☺

well so much for that here is the materials I used though.

Materials Used

1 Staedler 4h
2 eraser
3 charcoal (medium)
4 cotton buds

Process

I made an outline for the eyes, eyebrow and the nose line first

I start putting charcoal in the left eye.

The shadows or the tears

I continued it on the right eye and the nose line

The lips
