imageIn general, the painting tool depends on the use of the painter, it can only take pencil, eraser and canvas. But it looks normal and not creative, what if you add more tools so that the results of the painting can be extraordinary.

The following are tools and materials for painting on canvas that are most commonly used:

Brush
The brush we use is very influential on the results of our paintings. There are many kinds of brushes themselves, ranging from small, pointed hair to a wide, straight fur and sloping width. All of them have different functions.
Good strong, usually cream colored.

Brush cleaning tool
Brush cleaners are used to clean the brush from the rest of the paint so that it can be reused in other colors without mixing, such as liquid oil such as tinner, diesel, and kerosene. But don't use it
Easel is a board for pinning canvas. This board has legs and stands slightly tilted and can be set up and down. Actually this board is not very important, as long as the canvas can stand upright, and can be painted without moving.

The materials for painting consist of:

Paint / Ink
Paint / ink is a liquid made specifically for painting, making calligraphy, and making writing. Actually there are many other materials besides paint that can be used to paint, even natural materials. For example: teak leaf sap produces a red color if scratched onto paper or cloth media, with certain expansions by the painter, the leaf can be used as a substitute for paint.
Paint yourself many kinds, following a brief review of the various types of paint.

Oil paint
Oil paint is a paint mixed with oil as a color pigment binder.
Oil paint has brilliant pigment properties. Oil paint occupies the largest gradient scale from other paints because this paint can approach real color gradients. The oil paint last longer. But this paint has a sharp and pungent odor. It takes a long time to dry.

Watercolor / aquarel
Is a paint that uses water solvents to dissolve the color pigments inside. This paint is transparent and tends to fade. This paint does not smell like oil paint. However, because this solvent paint uses water, it is easy to wear off when exposed to water splashes.

Poster paint
Poster paint is water-based paint too. In its use can be dissolved with water first or it can also be without water solvents. The media for painting with this paint is paper. This paint has a color pigment that is more concentrated than watercolors and is coated with thick use.

Acrylic paint (acrylic)
Paint in the form of powder or paste. Acrylic paint is made from a mixture of synthetic materials such as resin and polyvinyl acetate which dry quickly. This material is generally soft and rigid. This paint is dry fast even though it is mixed with water / gel, is waterproof, and is easy to close. The painting media for this paint are walls (stone walls), wood, fabric, stryfoam, canvas, or drawing paper.
The paint doesn't smell too strong.

Textile paint
Textile paint is a water-based paint. This paint is commonly used to paint on cloth media, clothes, shoes, or bags that must be ironed after drying.

Chinese ink / ink
Chinese ink is used to make writing or calligraphy. In general, Chinese ink is divided into 2 forms, namely solid and liquid. Solid ink must be diluted with water before use.

The other ingredients for coloring are

Pastel / oil pastel / crayon

Pastel is shaped like an elongated round bar like a candle. Pastel has brilliant color properties. Very fragile and will stick directly when rubbed on paper, but it is easy to tie the color apart from the media if it gets vibration. For this reason it is often given fixative. Pastel is very difficult to remove. Even if it is erased with an eraser it will give a stain effect on the painting. To overcome the conventional pastel that is easy to fall, oil pastels are also developed that stick strongly to the media.

Colored pencils

Color pencil is a type of pencil that graphite on the pencil has a certain color pigment. Color pencils are generally made in each set. A set of colored pencils numbered 12, 24, 36, 48, and some even reached hundreds. There are also those who produce skin color sets. Color pencils easily blend with paper media and are easy to remove.

Paper

Paper is a painting medium that has a high absorption. Poreless. Paper is perfect for painting with watercolors, pencils and pastels. Need more attention when painting with paper and watercolor, to get a bright color usually dissolved watercolors not too thick.
