Drama it’s a genre of literature which creates or recreates human experience through ‘acting’;it is the representation of human action. It can occur on a built stage, motor-park, and village square or on a village pathway in the case of communal celebration and displays. The basic elements of drama are plot, characters, action, acts/scenes, and setting while dialogue serves as its distinguishing style. Characters are the person that the playwright has created in the play and they are referred to as dramatis personae. Drama is all about person in action, so we cannot have drama without characters. In she stoop to conquer, we have such character as Charles marlow, a well educated man in love with the young attractive kate hardcastle; George hostings, close friend of Charles marlow and admirer of miss constance Neville, tony humpkin, a mischievous, uneducated playboy. These are all characters created to express opinion on issues raised in the play. The exchange of these opinion is referred to as dialogue
