You are right with the "Overall it is a mixed feeling kind of thing".
I like using dPoll (creating and answering polls).
I like playing Steem Monsters, and collecting and selling Steem Monsters cards.
Sometimes I even buy Steem Monsters cards.
But I don't like the overall level of social interaction under most of the blog posts on the Steem blockchain.
I wrote many comments about this in the recent past.
Nowadays I don't even use Steemit for blogging.
No matter what I do, what I post, what I write about, if I write a blog post with Steemit, I rarely get real, human comments.
My Steemit blog posts don't even reach the payout threshold ($0.02) in many cases.
And I am not alone. I see many people in the same (or very similar) situation.
People are selfish and greedy.
Many people are writing blog posts, but only a few people cares about other people's blog posts, this results in a lot of ignored (or simply not seen) blog posts, and in the same amount (hundreds of thousands) of disappointed users.
Many people are left (and still leaving) Steemit (and the Steem blockchain) because of their disappointment.
Nowadays I have around/approximately 960 followers, but most of them are inactive nowadays. They left Steemit (and the Steem blockchain) long (months) ago.
There are more than 1.2 million Steem accounts, but nowadays only less than 50 000 accounts are active daily.
I think that this says a lot about the Steem blockchain.
Probably I would have already left the Steem blockchain without dPoll and without Steem Monsters.
But these are very good dApps, so I voted for "50/50 is for me".
