I'm a very curious person who loves to know a great many things. I have quit school despite the bright academic future and I live with my parents and i spend most of my day learning stuff which should eventually make me a pretty good polymath.

I always enjoy a well constructed poll and they are a great way to get an idea about a general level of consensus in a specific group. So far we didn't have this feature. I told @zappl devs that they should integrate a poll feature to STEEM's native Twitter-killer and the reply was that they already had plans for it. @zappl was also raising funds and they had many great plans. But now their servers are down and according to the official blog, the website should be back by Monday.

So it's safe to say that we shouldn't be expecting a poll feature from them any soon. But the good thing with free market is that somebody always (eventually) picks up on a need and develop something to take care of it.

Currently it's just a Minimum Viable Product. You can ask and answer question after logging in with Steemconnect (You won't be exposing your keys to any 3rd party) and you can view the results. The website is https://dpoll.xyz and it doesn't take any beneficiaries and you get to approach an audience that is already there waiting to ask and answer questions.

Personally I just need multiple types of polls and a good dashboard to manage all of them. There are times where the subject is a little too new for the audience. So ability to write a little bit about the objective of the poll and provide links to related websites would be another great feature. I won't care about the basic/old looking interface. Utility matters more than looks. You can read the introduction post form the dev here.

Don't go asking what would people want? Ask yourself what would you need. Ask yourself what would make you try https://dpoll.xyz even if it had an ugly interface. Then drop them in the comments.

We all have something to gain from building a good eco-system. I don't ask you to make any votes. But at least giving good feedback is valuable. Here are few cool things:

• Using Encrypted Messaging with Memo Key to hide real time votes and finally reveal results at the end of the poll.
• Multi-Tier Polls (Kind of like "Choose Your Own Adventure" books)
• User Profiles to see the polls created by each account.
