Work should be well paid. Money should be enough for life. This is often not the case. Many people can not afford a healthy life. And many people are in the debt trap. Some become homeless despite work. But every person should be able to live well, even if he has no job.

Because I'm a big fan of letting everyone be able to earn a decent living, even those you work in typically "low paying jobs", but are still super important from society's point of view.

Currently the minimum wage in our town is way too high, and thus there are very very few official jobs. 90% of jobs are under the table, cash work. The minimum wage here is based on the capital city and all the big cities, and in our small town it just doesn't make sense. It is hurting our small economy.

Because I don't know how anyone could survive on £7 an hr. It must suck.
