Voted for In 5-10 years.

I'm not really sure when this is going to happen in a big way, which is why I voted for 5-10 years, but i would imagine we'd see more and more of these vehicles on the road before that.

I agree, though, there must be plenty involved (along with the accidents that you hear about), or else we'd have them by now. It's not necessarily a new technology, and certainly not a new idea, but I guess you could say the bulk of the advancement has taken place in the last 10 years, thanks to Google, and now several different car companies.

But were' still not inundated with automated vehicles. Cost to produce may be a factor. Customer demand may be another?

I do wonder how well these cars will be received. For those who don't particularly like to drive, but can afford their own car (as opposed to taking Uber, taxi, or some other form of public transit), it will be great. For those of us who actually do enjoy driving, not so much. Especially if, at some point, governments begin banning manual driving cars because of "safety" reasons.
