It is said that prostitution is one of the oldest occupation in the world. Every year thousands of women and girls are abducted and forced to take this work. Drug trafficking and human trafficking are one of the most common vices in the present world. Mostly, young girls are abducted and forced into prostitution by the mafia and organized criminals.
Some people say that prostitution should be legalized as it can solve the problem of rampant HIV distribution and proliferation of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Also, it can provide safe sex to those who find it hard to get a sex partner and thus indulge in raping and assaulting women. According to them, it can also help fighting against forced prostitution.
On the other hand, many think that it will be disastrous for the society as it will make youngsters immoral and may also increase forced prostitution.
It is a very complex problem.
