Waiting in Fear / To Tell A Tale # 7
“I have the prettiest balloons”, he says to himself as he waits to make a sale. He knows the chances are slim; his face tells the story of hard life as a street seller.
He contemplates his situation, “burst all the balloons and then end it all?” The only thing stopping him is fear, the same fear that keeps him waiting.
Darkness has set in on his day and his life; but he continues on. “I have the prettiest balloons.”
He has but three things in life he can count on; his bike, waiting, and the fear.

Nice job with this one. Could it be another title to hang over your mantel?
Thanks Steve, the word limit was no less than 30 and no more than 100. I am right at the maximum. I have a tendency to be long winded in my story telling so this was a real challenge just in that regard.
We'll see how it ends up after the contest. Yes, I did get it from your list, so thanks for that as well.
Sometimes its good to get out of our comfort zone, and learning to be more editorial with your writing is always a good thing.
I agree , that is why I am entering these writing contests.
Wow, the balloon is so beautiful. Just like my beauty .. ha ha ..
Sorry just a joke ..
Yea. I could see you as a joker.
If You Follow Upvote comment And Resteem me I Will Do Same
Really ? You would do all that for me? So very kind of you to offer me such a sweet deal. You must really be a very nice person. How did you like my story? Why did you not mention my story? Why did you not up vote my story?
Or are you not such a nice person, and wanting me to vote your stuff and then you no vote me?
I think I may not be able to trust you, honorable person would read the story, then upvote the story, then leave a nice comment about the story. Maybe even ask a question about the story.
Only after all those things would an honorable person then say anything about himself. The more I think about this the less honorable I am thinking you might be.
You should probably not ask me again in the future, I have no use for people who seem to be not honorable. Until I see you as honorable I will not have any dealings with you in the future.
