About Deus Ex: Revision
Deus Ex: Revision is a community-made overhaul of the 2000 classic, Deus Ex. Developed by Caustic Creative, Revision was designed to breathe new life into the game by improving graphics, sound, and level design, while still maintaining the essence that made the original game a landmark in the action RPG genre. This project was born out of a deep love for the original game, aiming to introduce it to a new generation of gamers as well as offering something fresh for long-time fans.
The game takes place in a dystopian future where players step into the shoes of JC Denton, an agent of the United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition (UNATCO), equipped with cybernetic enhancements. The game combines elements of first-person shooters with role-playing upgrades and a branching storyline, allowing players to approach objectives in multiple ways. Revision adds new textures, models, and environmental effects, alongside a reimagined soundtrack, to enhance the immersive experience without altering the core gameplay mechanics that made Deus Ex a revolutionary title.
