Only Up From Here! Introducing Jay!

There is nothing down about Jay! Sure he has a diagnosis of Down syndrome but he is the happiest kid I know. He pops up out of bed every morning with a smile on his face ready to explore this big world. He changes every heart he comes in contact with. Jay is 5 years old but has been through more than most will go through in a life time. Duodenal atresia surgery, open heart surgery, g-tube, tumor under his tongue, tear duct surgery, ear tubes, leg surgery, c-diff, fecal transplant. sometimes I wonder how he even trusts this world anymore with all the pokes and prods he has had to endure. Yet he still loves this life more than ever as if he realizes just how precious it is. Meet the star of our life sweet Jaybird!
