Goodbye LeBron And Welcome velheor

in #dota26 years ago (edited)

Bad news back hit the idol team of DOTA 2, Natus Vincere. After briefly retreating on the ground with their new roster performance, especially in the support section, it seems that Na'Vi still needs adjustment to question their beliefs whether this team is still worth mentioning as a big team.

Natus Vincere (Navi Dota 2) did not get very good results after Jakarta Minor ended. A series of failures broke through DPC tournaments, their poor performance at StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Season 5, and lastly at EPICENTER XL made the Ukrainian-based team do a substitution of players.

The replaced player is Nikola "LeBronDota" Popovic who was replaced by Fedor "velheor" Rusikhin who is a player from Russia. He previously became a SFT e-sports player and uniquely defeated NaVi during the Changsha Major MDL qualification.

The decision brings consequences that Dendi and his friends can no longer fight to get direct invite The International 2018. Currently they are ranked 10th in the standings DPC with the acquisition of 1199 points. By making substitutions, they have to fight to TI8 from open qualifier.

Not only that, they have to volunteer to retreat from ESL One Birmingham for making substitutions. Not yet known who the team will replace. With the entry of velheor to NaVi, Ilya "Lil" Ilyuk will move to support 5. According to a statement from NaVi press release, they will do bootcamp in Kyiv, Ukraine.

They will continue bootcamp in China for a week to prepare ahead of China Dota 2 Super Major because they are one of the teams that get direct invite. The tournament will be held from 2 to 10 June in Shanghai. After that they immediately returned to Ukraine to follow the open qualifier of The International 2018.

Here for the current roster of Natus Vincere :

  • Vladislav ‘Crystallize’ Krystanek
  • Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin
  • Viktor ‘GeneRaL’ Nigrini
  • A Ilya ‘Lil’ Ilyuk
  • Fedor “velheor” Rusikhin

For LeBronDota himself, he has found his new team that is with Elements Pro Gaming. The team is not unfamiliar to him because he was previously in the team in 2016. He will play alongside Uroš "Swiftending" Galić, known as one of the players who brought Hellraisers successfully qualify for The International 2017.

Interesting awaited how the performance of NaVi in the future. Did the substitution of this player bring success or even lead to failure? Good luck for Na'Vi and Lebron in the future, is Na'Vi able to return victorious with the new squad.
