Doodle Trends Drawing Contest 8: Bittersweet Chocolate
Hello Doodletrendistas,
Happy Thursday. Time for another Doodle Trends Drawing Contest. Our theme for today is about bittersweet chocolate because today January 10 is National Bittersweet Chocolate Day.
Chocolate comes from the seed of the cacao tree. The seed of which has an intensely bitter taste that must be fermented first to develop the flavor. Once fermented, the beans are then dried and roasted. After roasting, the shell is removed to produce cacao nibs. These nibs are then ground into a mass which is already a chocolate but in rough form.
Bittersweet chocolate generally contains less sugar than semisweet and is called for in recipes that are looking for deep, intense chocolate flavor.
Here is a doodle I made quickly for your reference. It only took me around three minutes to finish this art.
