Word Salad

A psychiatric term used to describe speech in which the combination of words present as unintelligible and random.
Usually observed in an acute schizophrenic state, words and phrases are expressed in a way in which it is difficult to decipher meaning or logic.

Clanging

Also used in psychiatry, Clanging refers to to speech in which the combining of words are based on sound association rather than relating literal concepts.
Clang ing often presents as literation free of apparent logic, or indeed as compulsive rhyming.

Witnessing these symptoms is a remarkable, fascinating aspect of psychosis.
People with schizophrenia are too often dismissed as crazy, deviant people with invalid ideas.
An atypical mind while indeed a struggle to endure is also an amazing thing.
Perhaps it takes a loosening of association from the typical world to gain a perspective of genius.
