Welcome to Recent Developments. In this series I post about domain names that sold recently and have since become developed into an actual website. In other words, this is a focus on end user sales and what they are doing with their recent domain purchase!
End user info in the domain name industry can be extremely valuable. You can learn a lot from this type of data, because it shows you what an end user price was for a particular domain name. Hopefully you can apply that knowledge to your own domain investing both on the buy as well as the sale side. If you know what people are willing to pay for a domain it can help you price your domains right to sell.
On top of all that, it's fun to see what's new on the web!
Domains Recently Developed
I've got 3 domains / websites this week to look at. All 3 of these domains sold last month in January and in fact they all sold on January 2nd! I thought this was a good set to start the 2019 with as they're all only a day off from being sales on New Years day! Anyway, let's take a look!
WickedTattoos.com
The first domain is WickedTattoos.com. It's a two word .com that sold for $3,366 at BuyDomains on January 2nd, 2019. The domain belongs to a tattoo shop or shops I should say as they have 2 locations in the San Antonio, TX area.
I like this domain. It's simple to say, remember, and I think it's a pretty solid brand name for a tattoo studio. Not a bad price tag on this one either. I think that $2K to $5K for a brandable 2 word domain such as this is a fair price. Like it.
NiceTown.com
Next we have NiceTown.com. This domain is another two word .com that sold for $2,000 at Sedo again on January 2nd, 2019. The end user here is an online retailer of sorts specializing in curtains and curtain related products.
I like this domain too. I really like 2 word .com domains that are short like this. This has a great brand sound to it too. Excellent domain and at a reasonable price too. If I had been selling this domain I would have listed it for around $4K to $5K.
Enhance.net
Finally, we have Enhance.net. It's a single word .net domain that sold for $14,000 at Sedo on January 2nd, 2019. The domain is redirecting to Enhance.com and appears to be owned by a web hosting company.
I'm not a fan of .net domains but considering that this is a single word and the company already owns the .com this pickup makes sense for them as brand protection.
