Week 22 (January 2019)

Welcome to Recent Developments. In this series I post about domain names that sold recently and have since become developed into an actual website. In other words, this is a focus on end user sales and what they are doing with their recent domain purchase!

End user info in the domain name industry can be extremely valuable. You can learn a lot from this type of data, because it shows you what an end user price was for a particular domain name. Hopefully you can apply that knowledge to your own domain investing both on the buy as well as the sale side. If you know what people are willing to pay for a domain it can help you price your domains right to sell.

On top of all that, it's fun to see what's new on the web!

Domains Recently Developed

This week I've got 3 domains that sold last month. We're taking a sneak peak at a major 6 figure sale from last month to see what's going on since the purchase. Along with that I've got a couple of two word .coms one of which is a recent purchase that has to do with Bitcoin! Check out these recent developments below!

Plants.com

The first domain is Plants.com. It's a short single word .com that sold for $450,000 dollars on December 11th, 2018 at Sedo. This was a huge sale totaling nearly a half million dollars only a little over a month ago. At the present it's just a Coming Soon page. We'll have to check back on this as the sale price kind of demands it. I'm excited to see if this domain sale was to an end user and what kind of project this will become.

Obviously this is a great domain. You have to be careful with plurals but this in this case I think it's good. Excellent domain name.

RadiusPlus.com

Next we have RadiusPlus.com. A short two word .com that sold for $1,699 dollars on December 11th, 2018 at aset.com. At the moment this domain is redirecting to radius.unionrealtime.com. The page title on this site says,

Radius • Union Realtime LLC | Advanced location intelligence for the self-storage industry

I like this domain name. It's easy to say and remember and it's not too long. It's got a good sound to it I think too. I feel like this name was sold a bit cheap actually. Congrats to the new owners.

CoinMixer.com

Finally, we have CoinMixer.com. It's a short two word .com domain that sold for $5,099 dollars on December 12th, 2018 at DropCatch. The end user appears to be a company in the cryptocurrency space offering a privacy service offering Bitcoin laundering to make your purchases and transactions untraceable.

This is a great name for the service they are offering. It's probably not the kind of name I would have bought as an investor but it fits great here. I like this domain for this company.

Anyway, that concludes this edition of Recent Developments.

Plaaaaaid! Hi. ☺️

I have no comment on this, but your post the other day about vans spotted around town with web domains on the side.... I keep seeing your featured vans places. ☺️

Hi @dfinney! Haha, that's great! If you see one I haven't posted you should capture it with a photo and post it in the comments of my Domains in the Wild!
