Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (Icons) has begun to use domain name in local language. This initiative is being facilitated by buying a domain in Bengali language. When this facility is introduced, web registration facility is available in Bangla alphabet rather than English characters.

According to the plan of international management of domain management, Bengal will launch domain name in 21 languages ​​in India as well. For this reason, a panel has been formed with 60 technical experts from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Singapore.

In the initiative of the panel, the domain scripts in Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kanara, Odisha and Telugu are already open for public opinion.

However, if the list of comments is not yet added to the Bangla language, it is expected that it will be launched shortly.

In this regard, Indian Chief Samaritan Gupta, Icon, said that work on the domain purchasing script in Indian language is going on. Among them Bangla, Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kannada, Malayalam, Odisha, Tamil and Telugu languages ​​are worth mentioning. The rules will be followed just like other scripts in the world. As a result, those who do not know English can easily access the internet in local languages.

In the context of Bangladesh, Bangladesh got recognition of the national identity of the internet world and the Bengali language as the recognition of Bangla language.
