Dolphins 🐬

Dolphins are highly intelligent marine mammals known for their playful behavior and communication skills. There are 40 extant species named as dolphins. They are found in oceans worldwide and are known for their acrobatic abilities and friendly interactions with humans. They eat fish,squid and crustaceans. All dolphins have conical-shaped teeth and a baby dolphin is called a calf. A dolphin pregnancy lasts between 9-16 months. Dolphin species belong to the families Delphinidae, Platanistidae, Inside, Pontoporiidae and possibly extinct Lipotidae. The killer whale (orca) is the largest dolphin. However, they also face threats from pollution, fishing gear entanglement, and habitat destruction.
