You're a detective. You have to figure out what happened, how it happened, who/what did it, and then piece it all back together. I was going to give you a nickname, but none were coming out very good (it's too late, probably).
I really do like these lineman stories, though. Hopefully, though, you won't have to come back after all the protection you through on it. That would be one crafty and determined varmint, with a death wish.
I like the obvious ones but these make you think a little. It’s all in the name of reliable power.

Repeated outages are only frustrating for the customer but they are for us lineman too. So doin a little detective work save us both some frustration... I hope 😉
I suppose having nature constantly meddling with the power sources in one way or another could fall into the category of job security, but it would be nice if the critters would spread it out more instead of coming back to the same one, over and over again, where the customer starts to wonder if you're doing your job correctly, and you start wondering why Murphy's Law has decided to latch onto you. :)
It seems to me, though, you've been doing this long enough that you get through the analysis of the situation pretty quick, and the few times it might take longer, it becomes a challenge to overcome. Both, experience and a positive outlook where the job is more of a challenge rather than a nuisance or something else, makes you pretty indispensable.
Having the same power outage reoccurring in the same spot does remind me of this scene from The Incredibles:
