Meet Riker- The Handsome German Shepherd
I had the pleasure of running into this fellow a couple of times while he was being walked last week.
His name is Riker and he's a long haired German Shepherd
He has a great playful demeinor- he's still a pup at 9 years old.
Riker had such great positive energy and was so handsome I felt compelled to take a few shots of him and share him with my fellow Steemian dog fans.

Hi @thelightreports, nice pictures and lovely dog, we have a german shepherd female of 2 years old, at first they look a little scary because of their loud barking noise, but they are very clever, bringing so much affection to the family and they are loyal to their master
I love shepherds- great dogs- my second favorite breed after Doberman Pinschers- do the Germans make the greatest dogs or what?
For a Family dog they are Great... Riker's personality is not usual... German shepherds need lots of socialization... they are closely related to Wolves ..
yes maybe , maybe a lot of training during WWII, i though Germans make the greatest beers too , isn't it ? :-)
