In Thailand, the summers get so hot you can fry an egg on top of a car hood. I do think that trekking would be a very difficult thing for an animal with such short little legs. And Shih Tzus have really thick hair so it's hard to cool off by panting. Next time I hope you bring some bottles of ice water and maybe some towels. Thank goodness you found that waterfall. That's all I can say.

yeah, i had plenty of water and what not, but she couldn't cool down. Lesson learned. Maybe next time I will take her to a river so we have access to the water at any time :)
