Fierce Dog Breed: The Basenji
The Basenji is a breed of hunting dog that originated from Central Africa. It has been classified as a sight hound.
The Basenji is a barkless dog but they are not mute. They do make a sort of yodel, howl and shriek — and occasionally bark, but just one or two "fox-like barks" at a time.
Basenjis are small hounds recognizable by their shiny short coat, tightly curled tail, and wrinkled forehead and almond-shaped eyes that have human-like emotions. Basenjis are impressive at a fast trot, when they move like the strides of a mini racehorse. Basenjis come in a few colors like red, black, tricolor, and brindle, and they all have white feet, chests and tail tips.They have reach up to a height of 17 inches and weigh up to 24 pounds.
Europeans first described the type of dog the breed derives from in 1895—in the Congo. These local dogs, which Europeans identified as a unique breed and called basenji, were valued by local tribes for their intelligence, courage, speed, and silence
Basenjis exhibit alertness, curiosity and affection, though they are reserved with strangers. They are the 2nd least trainable of all breed types. With supervision, they tend to do well with older children and other dogs.

An African dog and I bet it has a very good endurance to heat and exhaustion too. I would want to own one because of their good size, not so small or big.
