in #dogs6 years ago

All animals do communication with each other in their own style including birds and all of those animals pray to the God in their own style but praying is not our topic so let's keep it aside for now. The chirping sound of birds are actually the ways of communicating with other birds and they share feelings with each other in certain ways in specific sounds.

Just like birds, four leg animals such as a dog, cat etc also communicate with each other. The great part is that some animals really try to communicate with "you" in case they are your pets or live in your area. Today, we'll be covering the ways dog communicate with us. Let me tell you something, in the beginning, there will be similarities in the ways of communication of different animals. For example, the cats use the similar methods of communication as cats, so if you have cats and not dogs, don't worry. This article can be a knowledge booster for you too.

# 1- Making Eye Contact:

One of the widely used ways of communication by humans is making eye contact with each other. Despite the fact that animals are different than humans, dogs follow the same technique and successfully manage to get noticed by their owners.

Sometimes you'll notice that your dog is making an eye contact with you. Continuous looking with innocence is one way of showing how much your dog loves you and trusts you the most. Making eye contact is a way of communication while avoiding to make eye contact is the sign that he doesn't want to communicate with you.

# 2 - Bowing:

Now this way of communication is common only in dogs since they are playful. It is possible that you've forgotten the play time but your dog didn't forget and now he is back and trying to remind you with play bows. Whenever your dog does it around you, understand that he wants to play with you.

Animals feel just like humans, and if we reject to fulfill some or even one wish of them, it hurts them a lot and if you really love your pet, you definitely won't like it. The best way to answer to this way of communication of your dog is to bow back a little bit and start playing for a few minutes with him if possible, or if you don't have time, make him busy in eating the food maybe.

# 3 - Tongue Flicking:

When humans commit mistakes and they feel the shame of themselves, all they need is saying "I'm sorry" to make you feel that they are really ashamed of their mistakes. But animals are different, they don't have the ability to express their feelings by saying words. All they can do is either shout or do certain actions to make you understand that they regret what they've done.

Similarly, tongue flicking of your dog is the way of showing that he's sorry for his actions. The best way to respond to this kind of behavior is, put your hands on his hand and love him by moving your hand on his body and make him feel relaxed and calm again to say "No problem, we all make mistakes".

Understanding your pet's language is important as it enables you and your pet to live in a happy environment.
