The Pregnancy of Cippy: (Eng)

Today I'd like to tell you the story about Cippy, one of my three dogs.

In the beginning Cippy was my aunt Lory's puppy, in fact she gave my nickname to her because she said that she reminded her of me when I was little.

La Gravidanza di Cippy: (Ita)

Oggi voglio raccontarvi la storia di Cippy, uno dei miei tre bassotti.

Inizialmente Cippy era di mia zia, fu lei a darle il mio soprannome, perchè diceva che le ricordava me quando ero piccola.

When we saw each other for the first time, it was love at the first sight!
So one night I “stole” her from my aunt's house and I brought her home with me.
Here she met Tony (a dachsund), the love of her life, who cheated on her with Piccola (a cocker spaniel).
From the time she was tiny, she suffered of compulsive hunger, we think it could be because her little brothers and sisters didn't let her eat.

Quando la vidi per la prima volta me ne innamorai, e la cosa fu reciproca!
Quindi una sera la "rubai" da casa di mia zia, e la portai a casa mia.
Qui lei conobbe Tony (un bassotto), l'amore della sua vita, che poi l'avrebbe tradita con Piccola (un cocker spaniel).
Fin da sempre ha sofferto di fame compulsiva, pensiamo per via di possibili traumi subiti quando era piccola, quando i suoi fratellini e sorelline non la facevano mangiare.

Since she was the last arrived at home, and also because she was the smallest of the family, we spoiled her and gave her a lot of love and attention.

Essendo arrivata per ultima, ed essendo anche la più piccola della famiglia, l'abbiamo viziata e coccolata tantissimo.

Tony was a bit scared of her, also he was jealous of mom, and he felt we paid less attention to him.
But at the end, all his “resemtment” went away, becoming like love of brothers.
Cippy grew up to become a beautiful dog, Tony taught her to do her duty outside and to play with cats.

But suddenly, after one year, we discovered that she was pregnant. We didn't know what we should do with the puppies, but eventually we decided to wait for the birth, and then to think to whom to gift them.

The Birth of the Puppies:
The night between the May 23 and 24 of 2017, she entered labour.

Tony aveva un pò paura di lei, sia perchè era geloso, essendo lui un mammone, sia perchè sentiva poche attenzioni verso di lui.
Pian piano però tutto questo "rancore" da parte sua scomparve, trasformandosi in amore fraterno.
Lei crebbe diventando una bellissima cagnolina e lui le insegnò a non far i bisogni dentro casa ed a giocare con i gatti nel giardino.

Ma un giorno, a distanza di un annetto, accade un fatto che ci sconcertò: lei rimase incinta. Inizialmente non sapevamo cosa avremmo fatto con i cuccioli, ma poi decidemmo di aspettare che nascessero per vedere di regalarli a qualcuno.

Il travaglio e la nascita dei cuccioli:
La notte tra il 23 ed il 24 maggio 2017, iniziò il travaglio.

She didn't know what was happening, she only knew she was having horrible abdominal pain.
Her eyes were a mirror of suffering.
When the first puppy was born, I was out, but I came back home in time to assist her. My mom and my sister told me that they heard her screaming in the kitchen and found near her the first puppy, Cocco.
That night I helped her to free the puppies from the placenta and to massage all of them at the birth.
At six am, Taffy was born, the last puppy.
The worst part of giving birth was over, and Cippy had finally become a mom.

Lei non aveva idea di cosa le stesse succedendo, sapeva solo di sentire dolori sempre più forti all'addome.
I suoi occhi trasparivano la sofferenza.
Quando il primo cucciolo nacque, io ero fuori casa, ma tornai giusto in tempo per assisterla. Mia madre e mia sorella mi hanno raccontato di averla sentita gridare in cucina e di averla trovata con il primo cucciolo vicino, Cocco.
Io misi delle carte a terra per potermi sedere accanto a lei.
Quella notte aiutai a togliere la placenta ed a massaggiare tutti i cuccioli.
Verso le sei di mattina nacque l'ultimo, Taffy.
Ormai il peggio era passato, e Cippy era diventata una mamma.

That night not only Cippy became mom, but I also became aunt of eight beautiful puppies: Salsiccia, Perla, Lupita, Taffy, Nebbia, Spock, Ayrton, and Cocco.
They grew up very fast and soon started to eat our home.

Quella sera non solo Cippy diventò mamma, ma io diventai zia di ben otto nipotini: Salsiccia, Perla, Lupita, Taffy, Nebbia, Spock, Ayrton, e Cocco.
Che crebbero molto velocemente ed iniziarono a mangiucchiare tutta casa.

When they started to walk, I everyday brought them outside in the garden with me.

Quando iniziarono a camminare, li portavo ogni giorno fuori a fare una passeggiata in giardino.

And when I was at London, I made videocalls with them.

E quando partì per Londra facevo le vieochiamate con loro.

Today each of them has found a home and a family that loves them, as I love my three puppies. The only one who staid with us is Nebbia, because he had a problem with his nose and after the cure of the veterinary, we fell in love with him. So he is here with his mom Cippy and his dad Tony.

Cippy nowadays is very good, she is a loving mom, a little chubby, who educates her son. Tony is not so good as a dad, because he cheated on Cippy with Piccola.
That's why Cippy ignores him.

Oggi ognuno di loro ha torvato un padroncino che li ama e li coccola, proprio come io curo i miei tre cuccioli. Nebbia è rimasto con noi, perchè ebbe un problemino al nasino e lo portammo dal veterinario per fare dei controlli. Dovette prendere l'antibiotico. Poi noi ci affezionammo e rimase con sua mamma Cippy ed il suo papà Tony.

Cippy oggi sta bene, è una mamma un pò cicciottella che educa il suo bimbo. Tony è un papà cattivo, perchè ha tradito Cippy con Piccola, motivo per cui Cippy oggi lo evita.
