So much education needed! Many Thai people believe a dog having puppies in your house-garden is lucky, and so they don't neuter the dogs. Gotta say as a farang living here 17 years, vets are extortionate. We've been SAVING to neuter our adopted stray cat (thankfully male) - the Thonglor Vet Hospital quoted my Thai daughter 8000 baht!!

A kind local vet will do it for 1000, which I as a single mom will afford next week. But that's a HUGE ask for a Thai person on a basic Thai wage.

A least the temple is kinder than the poisoned meat I have seen used as an alternative to cull "nuisance" dogs.
