We Love These Spotted Pups

We love dogs of all shapes and sizes. There’s so much to know about the world of dogs and everything that makes them bark with happiness. If you’re a Disney fan, you may have seen the iconic animation and/or film 101 Dalmatians. This is one of our most favourite movies and really hits home the themes of treating our canine companions with deserving care and affection above all else. The Dalmatian is an iconic dog that is known for its black spotted coat. While the Dalmatian is not known as one of the biggest dogs in the world, they are very athletic and will feature a robust and muscular structure.

Spots Will Be All Over

When born, baby pups will not have any spots. Instead, they will be completely white in colours and their spots will begin to emerge in the coming weeks. Dalmatians also come in different colours including a wonderful blue. If you’ve ever spotted a Dalmatian of different colours, it’s a rare sight for sure. As they grow, their coat will become more defined with spots filling out along with growth of the body. Grooming and cleaning a Dalmatian is relatively easy, a dense short coat won’t cling to your furniture but hygiene should be observed as usual.

Long Standing History and Prestige

Dalmatians have been around for hundreds of years and are officially seen as dog of Croatian heritage. From its early establishment in society, Dalmatians have a proud position alongside humans. They carried much prestige and pride when accompanying their owners. The Dalmatian would eventually find a new home in England, supporting its movement to be recognised as a stable breed by organizations. It was only fitting that our favourite 101 movie be filmed in London many years later.

Bundles of Energy and Utility

Dogs have played a great role in society of the years and breeding mindset has often faced conflict in achieving consensus as to what an ideal dog should pertain. Healthy, athletic and aesthetic are just a few basic features that breeders hoped to achieve in new generations of dogs to come. The Dalmatian is a successful example of a pup that has been recognised for its valour and strength in society. They’ve contributed in service during wars, assisted fire departments and been a watchful keeper for any home or establishment. Dalmatians are intelligent and caring, making them a perfect companion at home. Raising this dog isn’t easy and requires knowledge, time and consistency. With an abundance of energy, it’s important to be able to make time to exercise with your dog. Getting to know a Dalmatian owner or breeder will help to make an informed decision if this is the dog for you. Woof!
