Introducing Keevah the Husky

Walk Time!

Keevah is an 8 year old female husky cross who we adopted in 2016 from the local humane society. She is full of energy, and would walk 24/7 if given the chance.

Lie down!

Keevah is a very intelligent dog and knows a whole bunch of human speak and is great at following commands! She is also intelligent enough to know that there's no point to listening to her humans unless they have a treat to feed to her.

Who walks who?

Before owning Keevah, we used to own gym memberships. Now Keevah is our gym membership. Even in -40 degree Canadian winters, Keevah is always eager for a walk and is ready to drag her humans to every interesting smell along the way.

Belly rub!

Keevah loves attention, and will happily accept pets from almost anyone. When she really trusts someone, she is an expert at rolling over for a belly rub or climbing into a lap.

Another walk.

Whether it's 6am or 10pm, Keevah is always up for a walk. Mornings are her favorite - If her humans aren't awake in time, she'll come into the bedroom and climb on the bed to make sure they didn't forget the morning walk ritual.

On the lookout.

Despite loving humans, Keevah has never understood cats. She constantly keeps an eye on them, making sure they don't steal her toys or food. When the cats get a bit too playful, Keevah is there to give them a stern look and keep their nonsense in check.

All tired out.

After a busy day of walking, supervising cats and eating treats, Keevah loves a good sleep. It doesn't much matter whether it's on the couch, on her dog bed, on the floor, or on her humans' bed. She's usually happy to nap as long as her humans are nearby.
