SQUIRREL!
One minute we were walking around the woods, Arthur (the golden retriever) with his nose buried in the leaves. Busy sniffing (as usual).
Next minute, he stops dead in his tracks. Still. Nose in the air. Eyes peeled....
If he could speak, he would have shrieked:
Squirrel!
Just like the dogs in the movie 'Up'.
See if you can spot the poor little squirrel that was scared stiff....?
No squirrels were harmed in the making of this post ;)

Dogs with big, square heads and large ears (like the Saint Bernard) are the best at hearing subsonic sounds.
