I agree, you just can't get any "dog substitute".
They are unique animals... cats don't come close to the companionship and friendship a dog can offer you. It's a special bond that only dog and man can have (man, woman, child).

you're right. No substitutes for dogs. Like there's no substitute for meat :D
I had a cat years ago. They're just psychos :P
